About Us

Overview

IAK Wholesale is a Midwest-based distribution company specializing in smoke shop, vape, and convenience store inventory. The company operates from a 20,000 square foot warehouse in Niles, Michigan, serving over 600 active retail accounts across the region.

Originally established to support local stores, IAK has grown through investment in warehouse infrastructure, order processing systems, and category expansion. The company has tripled in scale over the last two years, driven by steady retail demand and operational discipline.

Infrastructure and Operations

All inventory is housed, managed, and fulfilled directly from the Niles facility. The building was completed in 2025 and designed with scalability in mind, including zoned inventory sections, secured receiving docks, and dedicated staging areas for outbound logistics.

Fulfillment is handled on-site by a warehouse team responsible for pick, pack, and dispatch. Inventory is updated in real time, with controls in place to reduce backorders, manage stockouts, and optimize load balancing for multi-line orders.

Orders can be placed through the IAK online portal, via a dedicated sales representative, through direct call-in, or by visiting the warehouse in person for cash-and-carry. Customers use whichever method is most efficient for their business—orders are processed centrally to maintain consistency.

Product Scope

IAK’s core catalog includes high-turn retail inventory: glassware, disposable vapes, rolling papers, torches, packaging, grinders, digital scales, and lighters. Items are selected based on retail sell-through performance and replenishment velocity, with a focus on availability and continuity.

In 2025, the company expanded into beverage and general grocery categories in response to customer demand for diversified product offerings. These include shelf-stable drinks, impulse snacks, and basic convenience items, all selected to complement existing inventory in smoke and vape retail environments.

Sales and Support Model

Each wholesale account is assigned a dedicated sales representative familiar with ordering patterns, product rotation, and store-specific needs. Reps are available for new item suggestions, substitution support, pricing inquiries, and backorder follow-up.

Customers are not required to meet purchase minimums or follow fixed order cycles. The system is structured to give retail buyers maximum flexibility while maintaining operational reliability on the fulfillment side.

Real-time access to product availability, order history, and invoices is available through the online portal. This allows retail buyers to manage purchasing independently, while still having full access to direct support.

Technology and Expansion

IAK is investing in logistics automation, backend inventory tracking, and sales analytics to support long-term scalability. System enhancements in progress include barcode validation at pack-out, digital shelf labeling, and integrated vendor forecasting.

The Niles facility has been structured to accommodate future expansion in both physical space and category depth. Additional SKUs are regularly evaluated for inclusion based on customer demand, supplier reliability, and freight efficiency.

Position in the Market

IAK operates as a supply partner to retail businesses that require predictable service, consistent inventory access, and responsive support. Customers range from independent owner-operators to purchasing managers overseeing multi-location chains.

Growth has been steady and infrastructure-led, with no reliance on outside capital or promotional campaigns. The company continues to operate with a focus on margin integrity, customer retention, and practical execution.

Looking Ahead

Future plans include refining procurement workflows, expanding category coverage, and onboarding new regional delivery capabilities. As retail environments continue to evolve, IAK remains focused on supply-side execution and operational strength.

IAK Wholesale will continue to scale in alignment with customer demand, retail complexity, and the long-term needs of the industry.
